• IM-1726 Indian Air Force. Delivered 17-Mar-1958.
Mar-1958. 41 Squadron (Otters) at Jodhpur.
Note: 41Sqd (Otters) was actually the name of the unit and was set up to operate the Otters.
Continued to serve with 41 Squadron and during 1962/63 was involved in supporting Indian troops in their battle with the Chinese, who invaded the Walong region in November 1962. The Otters of 41 Squadron were engaged in flying in supplies to Walong before it fell to the Chinese. When the Chinese subsequently left, the Otters, including IM-1726, flew back into Walong with supplies for the Army and the civil authorities.
The Otter subsequently crashed and was written off in Indian Air Force service, details unfortunately unknown.
