Otter 443 was delivered to the Nigerian Government, Board of Customs & Excise on 19th April 1963 registered 5N-ABM. It was one of three Otters delivered during March/April 1963, the others being 442 (5N-ABL) and 444 (5N-ABN). All three were packed into crates in Downsview and shipped to Lagos, Nigeria where they were re-assembled. 5N-ABM was originally operated as a landplane, until converted to an amphibian. It crashed on landing at Kano, Nigeria on 30th March 1969 on a flight from Kaduna, killing all seven on board. The Otter was destroyed.
