Otter 444 was delivered to the Nigerian Government, Board of Customs & Excise on 19th April 1963 registered 5N-ABN. It was one of three Otters delivered during March/April 1963, the others being 442 (5N-ABL) and 443 (5N-ABM). All three were packed into crates in Downsview and shipped to Lagos, Nigeria where they were re-assembled. 5N-ABN was flown as a landplane. It continued in use until withdrawn from service in 1970, and parts from the aircraft were then used to convert 5N- ABL to a landplane. 5N-ABN was scrapped at Ikeja in Nigeria in 1974.
