Otter 448 was delivered to the Argentine Air Force, the Fuerza Aèrea Argentina, on 10th February 1965 with serial P-12. It was one of two Otters delivered that day, the other being number 447, serial P-11. The story of the two Otters has been told in relation to number 447. Otter P-12 crashed at the Benjamin Matienzo Air Base in the Antarctic in early 1966 and was damaged beyond repair. The wreck was transported back to El Palomar Air Base on the mainland where all useable parts were salvage and the remains broken up.
