Initially assigned to the Redstone Arsenal, AL., where it served as a test support aircraft.

Mar-1967. Transferred to the Red River Army Depot, TX., as an operational support aircraft.

Jul-1968. To Vietnam, where it was received by the 388^th Transportation Company, Vung Tau.

Sep-1968. Attached to the 165^th Aviation Group. Long Binh, Vietnam. Later from Jul-1969 165^th Combat Aviation Group.

Nov-1969. Assigned to the 18th Aviation Company until disbanded Jul-1971.

Jal-1971. 79th Transportation Company, Qui Nhon, for storage.

Jul-1971. Deleted from Army inventory and scrapped.

Otter 381 was delivered to the United States Army on 18th July 1960 with serial 59-2228 (tail number 92228). The Otter was assigned to the Redstone Arsenal, Alabama where it served as a test support aircraft until March 1967, when it was transferred to the Red River Army Depot, Texas as an operational support aircraft. In July 1968 it went to Vietnam, where it was received that month by the 388th Transportation Company, Vung Tau, and in September '68 it joined the 165th Combat Aviation Group. In November 1969, 92228 was assigned to the 18th Aviation Company, where it served until January 1971, as the Company was starting to disband. It was entrusted to the 79th Transportation Company, Qui Nhon until deleted from the Army inventory in July 1971, when the aircraft was scrapped.
